Search Called Off For Second Home Invasion Suspect

FARMINTON HILLS (WWJ) - Farmington Hills police have called off a search for a second person they believe was involved in a home invasion Monday afternoon.

Police cars and a helicopter scanned the neighborhood after a woman reported she was confronted in her garage at gun point.

Police caught one of the suspects after a foot pursuit, and found a bag and the suspected gun that was used in the incident.

Earlier, Gregory, who lives in the area, told WWJ he got a call from his daughter who watched some of it unfold.

"The kids were over at Lanigan Elementary School and all of a sudden they seen a gentleman run by, maybe about a hundred yards aways from them with police in chase," he said. "He actually went through a hole in the fence over at Lanigan Elementary and that was the last they saw of him."

It incident happened in the area of 10 Mile and Orchard Lake.

Police are still following leads to find the second man but they believe has left the city.
