What To Wear To Fash Bash 2012 At The DIA
By Raquel Parks
Enjoy an evening that’s dedicated to art, food, and fashion! The Founders Junior Council of the Detroit Institute of Arts has teamed up with Neiman Marcus, once again, to host Fash Bash 2012.
Fash Bash is an annual event that celebrates art and fashion in Detroit. The event will include a cocktail reception, the Neiman Marcus “Art of Fashion” runway show and the Paparazzi Party afterglow party to wrap up the evening.
Keep these style tips in mind to put together a look that’s stylish for the evening.
Fash Bash is a unique event that brings together two major forms of expression. Therefore the attire could definitely be just as unique. One way to achieve this look would be to pick an outfit that implements colors and patterns.
The contrast of a pattern and color can pop visually. The combination of the two can also present a look that’s very tasteful, stunning and chic. For instance, a houndstooth skirt would look gorgeous when paired with a feminine, sheer royal blue top and a pair of blue or black pumps.
It’s vibrant and eye-catching but still has a classic, artsy element to it. Another way to achieve a stylish look can be created by mixing different colors that compliment one another. For example, a sundress with bright floral patterns is a simple way to create a colorful, beautiful look for the evening.
A strappy colorful sandal or ea neutral shoe is a great way to top it off. The main idea in getting dressed for Fash Bash is to be creative and to embrace interesting colors and patterns to achieve a fashionable, look. After all, a little creativity can go a long way.
Fash Bash 2012 will be held Thursday, August 16 on the steps of the Detroit Institute of Arts. Tickets have been selling fast but Fashionably Late tickets are still available for $75.
Fashionably Late tickets will provide a screening of the Neiman Marcus “Art of Fashion” runway show at 8:45 p.m. and attendance to the Paparazzi Party After Glow party at 9 p.m. For more information on Fash Bash 2012 and to purchase tickets, visit DIA’s website.
