Small Plane Crashes After Clipping Power Lines
IDA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WWJ/AP) - Two people are expected to recover following a small plane crash in Ida Township.
The single-engine aircraft was about to land Sunday night when its landing gear caught a power line, sending the plane into a nosedive into a corn field. The 84-year-old man who was flying the plane and his 20-year-old grandson were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Some power outages were reported due to the crash.
