IAOP Names Syntel a Leader in 2012 Global Outsourcing 100: Troy-based Syntel Inc. (Nasdaq:SYNT), a global IT and business process services and outsourcing provider, said Tuesday that it has received several recognitions in the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals 2012 Global Outsourcing 100 rankings. Syntel was named to IAOP's annual list of the world's best outsourcing service providers for the sixth consecutive year, moving up ten places over the 2011 rankings to No. 38. Syntel was included on several "sublists" which recognize providers for their specialization in particular industry and service segments. Among others, Syntel was named one of the top 10 providers serving the health care industry, a top 20 provider of industry specific services, and one of the top 20 firms providing transaction processing services for financial services clients. The rankings are based on an independent judging panel's evaluation of criteria including size and growth, customer references, organizational competencies and management capabilities. IAOP's selection process takes into account factors like a firm's ability to create value for customers, depth and breadth of competencies and top management talent, as well as company size and growth rates.
