Brennan Boesch may start to losing playing time in Detroit, and David Wright wants to stay with the Mets.
In the midst of a season-long slump, Tigers outfielder Brennan Boesch could be a candidate to start losing playing time, according to mlive.com’s Chris Iott. Boesch is hitting .250/.286/.388 this season, and manager Jim Leyland can’t seem to figure out how to get him going. If Boesch is unable to turn things around, he could start to lose playing time. Andy Dirks is a candidate to be the everyday left fielder, with Jeff Baker and Quintin Berry sharing time in right. Iott adds that Boesch is probably on a short leash, and needs to turn things around soon if he hopes to keep his job.
