Dream Cruise Wraps Up Successful 18th Run

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) – Police in Royal Oak are directing classic cars off  Woodward as the end of the official 18th annual Dream Cruise wraps up.

Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard says though this is the official end of the cruise, law enforcement officers will keep an eye on things Sunday as well.

“We’ll have folks out just to monitor the same kind of thing – dangerous behavior – but it’s kind of the wind-down for people that brought their cars,” said Bouchard.

He’s also calling this 18th annual year for the cruise its best year yet– attendance-wise.

“I think it’s … great. I think the weather and peoples excitement continues to grow. I think this will be our record year in terms of overall attendence,” said Bouchard.
