Priority Health Launches 'Medicare Explained' Web Site

GRAND RAPIDS -- Priority Health has created a new online tool titled "Medicare Explained" to help people understand how Medicare works. As a component of PriorityMedicare.com, this tool breaks down the overwhelming process of choosing a Medicare plan into four simple lessons. The lessons describe the basics of Medicare and the options people have.

"Priority Health understands that Medicare can often be a complicated subject," said Joan Budden, chief marketing officer, Priority Health. "Medicare Explained provides people the facts they need to make an informed decision about Medicare in an easy-to-understand format. By helping users understand their Medicare options, these resources empower Medicare members to make decisions based on their individual needs."

The Web site consists of four simple tutorials:
1. What are Medicare Parts A and B?
2. What are Medicare Parts C, D and Medigap?
3. How do I decide which type of plan I want?
4. What Priority Health Medicare plan is right for me?

Each page includes key Medicare information, a short video and a quiz designed to accommodate a number of different learning methods. These are supplemented with "extra credit" articles that include detailed information about Medicare topics, options and Priority Health plans. The Medicare Explained educational tool helps people learn how Medicare works, determine what type of plan they need and find the right Priority Health Medicare plan for their needs and their budget.
