MCWT Sets Signature Gala: On Saturday, Nov. 3, the Michigan Council of Women in Technology and General Motors will host its annual black tie Signature Gala at the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel in Detroit. This much anticipated event will include CIOs and business professionals from influential companies who believe in MCWT's mission to encourage, advance and retain women in Michigan's IT community. This evening serves as a fundraiser for the 501(c) 3 MCWT Foundation, which is dedicated to fostering the education and growth of technologically oriented girls and women. The task is more important than ever given that diversity fuels innovation, yet only 24 percent of professional IT-related occupations are held by females in the United States. More at www.mcwt.org.
