DETROIT (WWJ) - A member of the Wayne-Westland Board of Education was taken into custody Wednesday by the FBI.
The district has released a statement saying John Goci was arrested but no details were released.
“We have no further information as to the circumstances surrounding this situation. However, we do not believe there is any relationship between his event and the Wayne-Westland community school district,” said a spokesperson for the district’s superintendent.
According to the district’s website, Goci serves as Vice President on the board.
WWJ Newsradio 950 has placed a call to the FBI for comment.
