Get A Heapin' Helpin' Of Fun At The Great Lakes State Fair

NOVI (WWJ) - No shortage of fun things to do in the metro Detroit area this Labor Day weekend.

You can choose from Jazzfest, the Ford Arts, Beats & Eats festival and the Romeo Peach Festival.

There's also the Great Lakes State Fair at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. It's got all of your state fair favorites; the food, the rides, animals, and a circus.

"We have what's called the Michigan Pavilion and that is 50 booths that, that are all Michigan based businesses selling Michigan made products or showing Michigan made products or services."

Great Lakes State Fair manager Kristina Jones says they also have entertainment at the fair which runs through Monday, closing at 5 p.m.on Labor Day.
