Automation Alley announces recent staff promotions and new hires: The past few months have seen numerous staff promotions and additions at Automation Alley, Michigan's largest technology business association. With these changes, Automation Alley has augmented its abilities in entrepreneurial services, event planning, international business services and member relations. Jennifer Chinn was recently promoted to events manager. Chinn oversees the planning, development and promotion of all Automation Alley events, including the popular member networking events and the Annual Awards Gala and Golf Outing. Chinn also serves as staff liaison to Automation Alley's Business Growth Committee. Formerly events and promotions coordinator, Chinn joined Automation Alley in December 2009 as a technical apprentice. She earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus in advertising and promotion from Western Michigan University and is working toward an MBA at the University of Michigan-Dearborn with a focus in marketing. Chinn also achieved a certificate in digital arts: print and Web from the College for Creative Studies. Natalia Stasiw has taken on the expanded role of entrepreneurial services manager. Stasiw works closely with Automation Alley's seed-funded companies and entrepreneurs and provides the entrepreneurial community with the resources necessary for business creation, growth and sustainability. Stasiw is staff liaison to Automation Alley's Technology Committee and participates in the ACE (Annual Collaboration for Entrepreneurship) planning committee. She began her employment at !Automation Alley in April 2012 as entrepreneurial administrator. Stasiw received a Bachelor of Arts in international affairs and economics from Towson University.  Genna Piscopo was recently promoted to member relations supervisor. In her new role, Piscopo builds relationships with Automation Alley members to help them maximize their membership benefits. Piscopo began her career at Automation Alley in October 2009 as member services intern. She changed roles to become the events and communications intern before gaining the position of member experience representative. She earned a Bachelor of Science in public administration and public policy from Oakland University and is pursuing a master of public administration with a concentration in nonprofit organization and management at OU. Shaun Hayes joined Automation Alley in June 2012 as member relations specialist. He is responsible for assisting in member relations inquiries and membership processing. Hayes is currently working toward a bachelor's degree in general management at OU. Alexa Lipman has returned to Automation Alley as international business services specialist. Her primary role is to assist in managing the day-to-day activities associated with the International Business Services Team, including international trade and business attraction activities. Lipman previously served as an international business intern at Automation Alley from May 2007 to September 2008. She earned a Bachelor of Science in general business administration and a graduate certificate in complementary medicine and community wellness from OU. She is working toward a master's degree in public health and hopes to apply her international business experience.
