Three key factors for Michigan as it tries to rebound from its season-opening loss to Alabama vs. Air Force on Saturday.
1. Football is often a simple game. It’s about blocking and tackling. The Wolverines were dominated by Alabama on both sides of the ball upfront, and their tackling in space was poor. The Wolverines can’t be just OK in those departments vs. Air Force. They must be great.
2. Denard Robinson needs to have a big game. The doubters are out in force. Robinson’s legacy at Michigan is on the line. Time to start mending the damage done vs. Alabama.
3. The Wolverines running backs must gain significant yardage. Last season, when Michigan improved, it was because Fitz Toussaint emerged.
