Teacher Will Stand Trial For Rendezvous With Teen

ROMULUS (WWJ/AP) - A Wayne County middle school teacher has been bound over for trial on charges related to her alleged relationship with a 15-year old boy.

Andrea Brennan, 37, is charged with distributing sexually explicit material to a minor, furnishing alcohol to a minor and using a computer to commit a crime.

Police said they found Brennan and the teen in a car at softball field, at Beck Road and Ayers, at around 1:30 a.m. in late July.  Investigators said the teen was never a student of Brennan, but a search warrant found her personal cell phone showed a history of text messaging between the two, along with one topless photo that Brennan apparently sent to the young man.

Brennan, an Ypsilanti resident, taught math at North Middle School in the Van Buren School District.

Brennan is next scheduled to appear on Sept. 19 in Wayne County District Court.
