Tigers Will Play Yankees In Home Opener
DETROIT (97.1 The Ticket) The 2013 Major League Baseball schedule was officially unveiled at 1 p.m. Wednesday -- with some big news for Detroit Tigers fans.
The schedule shows the team will face the Minnesota Twins for the first game of the season on Monday, April 1, wrapping up that series in Minnesota on Thursday, April 4.
Then it's on to Opening Day at Comerica Park -- and that's where the really big news happens: The Tigers will play a longtime nemesis, the New York Yankees, on Opening Day, which falls on April 5, 2013.
