Tree-Lined Local Street Sought For New Film

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) Have you ever driven home and secretly thought your street looks as pretty as a Hollywood movie set?

Then it's time to let the rest of the world know.

The Michigan Film Office is asking for help finding a cinematic rural road in southeast Michigan. Specifically, they're looking for a rural road that is "flat, straight, and has trees like a tunnel encompassing it."

The road will be used for both modern day storytelling and flashbacks to the 1800s so it's important for the crew to be able to close it without hardship to residents or businesses.

Is it a street in your neighborhood, one you pass on the commute? The Film Office would appreciate your input.

If you have a suggestion, send the name of road and its cross streets to: maria.zardis@ macombgov.org. Photos, if availble, are appreciated.

And this is the perfect time for scouting. Michigan is dotted with old-fashioned communities known as Tree City U.S.A., and they come alive during the fall with reds and golds as crisp as a delicious apple.

Happy hunting!
