Waveform Technology LLC Completes New Fiber Construction

TROY -- The data center and Internet bandwidth provider Waveform Technology LLC Thursday announced the completion of its South Troy Fiber Optic construction project.

This newly completed 6-mile fiber optic ring will provide ultra-high-speed Internet and private line data services to businesses in the south Troy area. The location of this project was selected to help serve the high density of financial, educational and medical concerns in the vicinity.

The heightened interest in cloud computing and off-site disaster recovery has prompted many organizations to look for cost effective high bandwidth solutions. Waveform's privately owned fiber optic network allows it to provide connectivity at speeds up to 10 gigabits per second between client locations, between a client location and our data center, or directly to the Internet.

"This project helps demonstrate Waveform's commitment to Michigan, and to the Metro Detroit area." said Rich Tota, director of sales. "Our private fiber network allows us to provide bandwidth services at aggressive pricing with unparalleled performance."

The new multi-strand fiber optic ring will connect to a larger, preexisting ring, which the company says is capable of carrying more than 784 gigabits per second using Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing and other technologies.

Waveform Technology is a privately held facilities-based Internet service provider and data center operator based in Troy. Waveform's Troy Data Center provides colocation for tenants of all sizes. More information is available at www.waveform.net or by calling (248) 784-7000.
