Woman Charged In Multiple Home Invasions

ORION TWP. (WWJ) - An Orion Township woman is now lodged at the Oakland County Jail after police say she confessed to seven home break-ins.

According to officials at the Oakland County Sheriff's  Office, 36-year-old Tonya Sieversten broke into houses in Orion Township, Independence Township, and, most recently, Rochester Hills.

Authorities said they found large amounts of stolen jewelry and other valuables in her home and storage unit. Deputies believe that Sieversten may be connected to more home invasions and are investigating.

She was arraigned earlier this week on two counts of home invasion before a 52-3 District Court Magistrate who set a $25,000 cash bond.
