Security Manager Fatally Stabbed At Downtown Detroit Nightclub

DETROIT (WWJ) - He was a steelworker by day and to support his family, he worked as a security manager on the side for a downtown Detroit nightclub. That is where family members say Lou Ferrin, 40, was stabbed to death while trying to remove a customer from Club Pandemonium. It happened around 1 a.m. Sunday.

His brother Mark Ferrin told WWJ Newsradio 950 it was a devastating loss to the family.

"Our mother just had quadruple bypass surgery not more than two weeks ago, so we're trying to make sure she's good," Ferrin said. "He also leaves behind a fiance that was gonna have a wedding next year, so there's a lot of things going on that someone snatched from us."

Ferrin also says his brother was going to be a grandfather early next year.

"He worked hard to support his three kids. He's got a 24-year-old daughter, who's just about ready to make him a grandfather in February. So that granddaughter will not know her grandfather."

There are no suspects in custody.

This marks the third murder related to that property in the last 16 months.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detroit police at 1-800-SPEAKUP.
