Matthew Stafford Watches Practice With Leg Injury

LARRY LAGE, AP Sports Writer

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP)  -- Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is healthy enough to walk without limping.

Stafford watched the early portions of practice Wednesday. The Lions likely won't update his status for Sunday's game at home against Minnesota until Friday. Shaun Hill would start in Stafford's place if he isn't cleared to face the Vikings.

Stafford was injured late in Detroit's loss Sunday at Tennessee.

Stafford has thrown three touchdowns and four interceptions in two losses and a win this season. He bounced back last year from two injury-shortened seasons by throwing for 5,000-plus yards, 41 touchdowns and 16 interceptions in 16 games while helping the Lions end an 11-year postseason drought.
