3Sixty Interactive Saves Client From Intense Damage Of Malware

FENTON -- Malware and internet hackers are on loose and causing more damage than ever. Hackers are getting smarter, sneakier and more abundant. In April of this year, a 15-year-old boy was arrested for hacking 269 Web sites in three months. More than 16,000 sites are being infected with malware every day, these viruses can cause serious damage to search rankings, consumer loyalty and even have a direct impact on revenue.

Unfortunately, there aren't any sure-fire ways to protect your Web site from viruses or hackers. The best defense is to be vigilant, and monitor your website constantly.

Earlier this month, a client of 3Sixty Interactive experienced a malware infection on its Web site. They digital marketing agency had been working with the client for nearly a year, constantly monitoring their digital properties, as they do with all clients.

As a result of this virus, the website immediately stopped showing up in search results, and when visitors went to the URL they were advised not to enter. This could have resulted in many potential customers being turned away and seeking competitors.

Luckily, the team at 3Sixty Interactive caught the problem quickly. They immediately notified the business owners and worked closely with them to contact the hosting company and correct the problem.

"This is just one more reason why business owners need to look at having a digital marketing agency. In our absence, the client may have gone much longer before being notified of the problem, and even then they may have been unaware of how to correct it", said Dale Keipert, chief strategist at 3Sixty Interactive.

3Sixty Interactive is a professional agency with more than 10 years of experience in the digital world. They are based in Fenton, with clients throughout the midwest and across the globe and offer a variety of digital marketing solutions that include search engine optimization, digital advertising, email marketing, social media, customized strategy reports, analytics and maintenance of your marketing plan.
