Outdoor Fun at Lake St. Clair Metropark

HARRISON TWP (WWJ) – Looking to get your kids out of the house to enjoy nature hikes and wagon rides? You’re in luck: Fall is in season and now is a great time for outdoor play.

Come to the Lake St. Clair Metropark in Harrison Township for Get Out and Play day Saturday for an opportunity to reconnect with the great outdoors. Families are welcome and encouraged to introduce their kids to natural life and exploring the world around them.

Most of us were inspired to spend time to playing outside in the parks or in the backyard. This event offers you to relive those moments with your kids and reap the benefits of active lifestyle and fitness.

Visit the park’s Nature Center for fun-filled activities such as not only nature hikes and hay wagon rides but kite flying, raffles, arts and crafts.

Healthy snacks will be provided, but feel free to bring a lunch and stay for the day.

Get Out and Play Day happens 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Even though the event is free,  the $5 park entry fee will still apply.

Best thing yet? It’s all free. Get more information HERE.
