EAST LANSING (AP) – Michigan State University Athletic Director Mark Hollis and his wife, Nancy, are giving $1 million to the school for academic scholarships, football stadium improvements and arts programming.

About half the money will establish the Hollis Family Endowed Scholarship for Michigan resident undergraduates with strong academic credentials.

The rest of the gift will go to the North End Zone project at Spartan Stadium, which will help build a room to host recruits for all varsity athletic teams.

Mark and Nancy Hollis are Michigan State graduates. Nancy Hollis works in the school’s study abroad program.
