Mediator Called In To Bridge Contract Divide Between WSU And Faculty

DETROIT (WWJ) – Still no agreement between Wayne State University and the American Association of University Professors.

The university says it’s called in a state mediator to help reach an agreement. In a message posted on Wayne State’s web site, university president Allan Gilmour says negotiators still have a lot of work to do.

WSU’s three-year contract expired at the end of July, but it was extended. The AAUP represents more than 1,600 Wayne State faculty and staff.
