DETROIT (WWJ) – While thousands of fans cheered on the Tigers at Comerica Park on Sunday, others were trying to watch the game at home and were disappointed when they couldn’t find the game on broadcast TV.

“How many veterans are in VA Hospitals right now in the Detroit area, Detroit fans, have always been and can’t unless they’ve got this paid premium (channel) program,” said one man who called WWJ.

One woman called to say she had always watched the Tigers’ games and thinks, “it’s despicable  that it is being blacked out. A playoff game is being blacked out, in the city of Detroit.”

If you’re not able to watch future games … you can listen to them live on our sister station, 97.1 The Ticket.

And you can follow game action online at CBSSports.com.
