Detroit Police Search For Masked Gunman Who Shot Woman

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are looking for a masked gunman who shot a woman who had car trouble.

Police say the 36-year-old woman's vehicle broke down at Harper and Chalmers on the city's east side around 8:50 p.m. Wednesday.

The woman told police the man approached her, demanded money, aimed his gun at her and opened fire. Police say she received at least one gunshot wound.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was last listed in temporary serious condition.

The suspect is described as a black male who was wearing a ski mask and all black clothing.
