DETROIT (97.1 THE TICKET) – The worst kept secret in the sports-celebrity dating world may finally be confirmed.

According to Celebuzz.com – Justin Verlander’s grandfather, yes grandfather, is confirming that Justin and 20-year-old supermodel Kate Upton are dating.

“I heard he has been on dates with a Sports Illustrated girl. I saw a photo — she’s beautiful,” he said. “They make a good looking pair because he’s a good looking man too.”

Will Upton be in New York for the opening game of the Tigers vs. Yankees in the American League Championship Series? We won’t know until we see her and MVP Verlander.
