Police: Man Killed In Knife Fight Over Woman

GARDEN CITY (WWJ/AP) - One man was killed and two others were injured in a stabbing early Sunday morning outside a bar in Garden City.

According to police, a bar fight over a woman led to the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old Texas man and the wounding of two men from California at Albert's in the Alley on Middlebelt.

Police said a 21-year-old man was critically injured and a 25-year-old was treated and released. The three were transient workers who'd just arrived in the Detroit area for work in the trucking industry.

 

Garden City police said they're looking to identify several suspects in the attack. Witnessed said those responsible were young, black males.  Police are now reviewing video of the incident and the minutes leading up to the stabbing.
