CHESTEFIELD TWP. (WWJ) - Chesterfield Township police have identified the two people killed in a weekend crash along  eastbound I-94 near 23 Mile Road.

Police said 41-year old James Wietecha of St. Clair County was killed in a three-vehicle crash in a construction zone early Sunday. Investigators said it appears that 43-year old Susan Kienscherf then stopped to offer help, only to be hit and killed by another driver.

Police do not think alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.
