Home Alone: Boy Found Safe After Wondering Away From Motel

WATERFORD (WWJ) - A three-year old boy is back home with his mother after wandering away from a motel room. Waterford police say a woman found the boy walking in the area of Telegraph and Dixie around 8:30 Tuesday morning.

After a short search the boy's 24-year old mother was found in the parking lot of the Waterford Motel.

The woman told police she left the child alone in the motel room while she took her husband to work because he was sleeping.

While the boy is back with his parents, Child Protective Services is investigating.
