DETROIT (WWJ) – A man claiming to have information about the true identity of the Oakland County Child Killer held a press conference on Tuesday via phone.
WWJ legal analyst and Talkradio 1270 morning host Charlie Langton reports that the mysterious man who only gives his first name ‘Bob’ reports there are ten new victims who have a relationship to the four deaths in the Oakland County child killings in the 70’s.
Bob believes a group of people fascinated with strip clubs may have been the killers.
“Well, I do think Bob may be a little paranoid,” said Langton. “He doesn’t want his identity revealed . He really truly believes that there is a cover-up and that Jessica Cooper, in particular, is not turning over every lead possible and that upsets him.”
Bob has called for the Department of Justice to investigate the killings. Oakland County prosecutor Jessica Cooper has said she doesn’t believe Bob is credible.
From February 1976 to March 1977, a serial killer abducted and held four young children — Mark Stebbins, Kristine Mihelich, Jill Robinson and Timothy King – against their will for several days, before murdering and placing them on display on streets throughout Metro Detroit.
Although several potential suspects have been investigated over the years, the case officially remains unsolved.
In April, the mother of a girl who was murdered by the Oakland County Child Killer has filed a $100 million lawsuit against the Oakland County prosecutor, sheriff and Michigan State Police, saying they withheld information about the 35-year-old case.
