DETROIT — Made from the Heart Custom Designs, an online boutique for bridal kits, baby shower kits and unique gifts, reported a 118 percent increase in the traffic coming to their Web site from Facebook.
Fenton-based 3Sixty Interactive launched the company’s Web site and Facebook page in July and is responsible for the increase in referral traffic.
Not only is the Web site seeing more visitors from Facebook though, the quality of traffic is very high. Facebook traffic has a lower bounce rate than other traffic sources and visitors are staying on the site longer and looking at more pages and products.
“We may be the social marketing experts, but we are not experts in our client’s industry and we are only able to deliver these excellent results with frequent communications and a solid partnership with the client,” said Dale Keipert, Chief Strategist at 3Sixty Interactive.
Social marketing is primarily a brand building effort, using sites like Facebook to increase brand awareness and promote word of mouth marketing. The number of website visitors coming from social sites is one metric for measuring the success of social marketing campaigns.
