Verizon Wireless Event Officially Welcomes 4G LTE Network to Monroe

MONROE -- Verizon Wireless will welcome the arrival of 4G LTE service to Monroe with a variety of activities Thursday, Oct. 18.

The first 100 store visitors have chance to find golden ticket and win a 4G LTE Tablet. Also, Family Counseling and Shelter Services of Monroe County will receive a $4,000 donation.

Verizon will also hand out free chocolate bars at the center, 2161 Mall Road in Monroe. Four the bars will have a "golden ticket" inside that will award the a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) 4G LTE.

The domestic violence donation was made possible by Verizon's HopeLine program, which converts no-longer-used wireless phones into support for survivors of domestic violence. Family Counseling and Shelter Services of Monroe County provides advocacy, safety options and support services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

The store opens at 10 a.m. Oct. 18.
