No More Volunteer 'Ambassadors' Needed For World Series

DETROIT (WWJ) - They asked for help, and boy did they get it.

The folks at VisitDetroit.com advertised 100 volunteer positions available for friendly faces to welcome people to downtown Detroit during the home games of the Detroit Tigers verses the San Francisco Giants -- and got hundreds and hundreds of calls.

A spokesperson talking to WWJ Newsradio 950 on Wednesday morning said they are all set and have no more positions available for the three-day volunteer stint.

The goodwill ambassador volunteers will work outside, helping to distribute buttons, nightlife guides, beads and bumper stickers to Detroit Tiger fans and out-of-town visitors throughout the downtown Detroit area.
