Online Tech Announces Additions to Its Management Team: Online Tech, the Ann Arbor provider of secure and compliant data center hosting, recently added four members to its management team with two new hires and two promotions. Michael Kowal joins Online Tech as Director of Business Development weeks after the Ann Arbor-based company received a $20 million investment from News-Press & Gazette Co. to help it expand into new markets across the Midwest. Online Tech previously announced it plans to add four more data centers to the company's portfolio over the next 24 months. It currently operates two data centers in Ann Arbor and one in Flint. Kowal has more than 10 years of experience in the mission critical real estate and colocation industry, spending the first decade of his career in various positions of leadership in technical sales and business development for companies like DuPont Fabros Technology and AT&T. Don Trojan was promoted from senior account executive to director of sales, responsible for sales revenue, client satisfaction and managing the sales team at Online Tech. Trojan has been in information systems sales for more than 20 years. Before joining Online Tech in November 2009, he was the central regional sales manager for HyperRoll (Oracle). He has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Deb Webster also joins Online Tech to help with its growth plans. The new director of human resources and administration will lead the company's recruiting efforts and growing HR administrative responsibilities. Online Tech was a client at Webster's own human resources, recruiting, project management and operations consulting business. As a consultant, she led Online Tech's front-end process for hiring operations and sales employees for the last several years. Before opening her own business, Webster was the vice president of administration at Soar Technology. She has an MBA in organizational development from the University of Michigan and a bachelor's degree in operations management from Eastern Michigan University. Steven Aiello was promoted from senior systems engineer to systems support manager. Aiello had been responsible for managing the company's VMware and SAN infrastructures while also being active in the management of its corporate security policies and procedures. Aiello, who holds a bachelor's degree in technology management from Eastern Michigan University and is pursuing a master's degree with a concentration in information assurance, previously worked as a systems engineer at Automated Data Processing and Focus 1 Data. His certifications include CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional), VMware VCP (VMware Certified Professional), Cisco CCNA (Cisco certified Network Associate), Comptia Security+, and Certified Incident Responder (New Mexico Tech).
