2 Teens Charged In Pontiac Home Invasion, Slaying

PONTIAC (AP) - Two Oakland County teenagers are charged in the slaying of a 27-year-old Pontiac man during a home invasion.

Sheriff's officials say in a release Friday that 16-year-old Donald Lee James and 17-year-old Jonathan Hickerson have been arraigned on felony murder and home invasion charges.

James is a student at Lake Orion High School and is charged as an adult. Hickerson, of Pontiac, was arraigned Friday at a hospital where he is being treated for a gunshot wound suffered during the incident.

The victim's brother returned fire at two males who forced their way into Adrian Contreras' home early Monday. Contreras was killed. His wife and 6-month-old child also were inside the home but escaped unhurt.

The Associated Press could not determine late Friday afternoon if James and Hickerson had lawyers.
