Tigers Fan Offers House In Exchange For World Series Tickets

By: Sara

Getting together enough scratch to go see your favorite team can be tough. Getting together enough funds to see your favorite team during the World Series can be downright impossible! When you don't have a big chunk of change ready and available for bucket list events, you have to get creative. One Tigers fan has decided that he is willing to trade his HOUSE for tickets to Saturday night's sold out home game against the Giants!

The uber fan put up an ad on Craigslist earlier this week (see it HERE) and, according to the poster, the three-bedroom, one-bath on Greenview near Southfield and Joy in the Warrendale neighborhood of Detroit "needs little work." It usually rents as Section 8 housing and those who have gone to check out the property say that the house is missing some doors, windows, and a toilet. There is, however, the added bonus of several animal droppings scattered about. I am sure they give the place "character".

Check out how Detroit fans party before a game:

You may wonder if the tickets or the house would be worth more, but allegedly the house would sell for $2,500 to $5,000 on the open market and that would price it above two standing room tickets currently going for $718. The seller claims he has had several interested parties and his wish to see his Tigers in person in the World Series just might come true.
