DETROIT (WWJ) – Would you like to own a piece of the World Series and help out the Detroit Tigers Foundation at the same time?
As WWJ’s Laura Bonnell reports, 5,000 officially licensed, limited edition World Series baseball sets will be available to fans.
Bob Iback, spokesperson for the Tigers Foundation, said each baseball set comes with an individually numbered certificate of authenticity and an upscale two-ball acrylic display case.
“One is a World Series Baseball, the other is a tribute baseball to Miguel Cabrera for winning the Triple Crown this year, and they all come with a display case for $69.95,” said Iback.
Part of the proceeds will benefit the Tigers Foundation, which uses the game of baseball to enhance the quality of life in the Detroit community, focusing on youth, education and recreation.
