LANSING (AP) - Authorities say a Lansing man has been beaten and his dog was killed during a robbery at his home.

The Lansing State Journal reports Wednesday that the 39-year-old man told police he was attacked the day before by a man he knew. He was struck on the head several times with a baseball bat and his pit bull was beaten and stabbed to death.

Police say the man drove himself to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

No arrests have been made.
