Beilein Announces One-Game Suspension For Trey Burke
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan head men's basketball coach John Beilein announced today (Wednesday, Oct. 31) the one-game suspension for sophomore point guard Trey Burke (Columbus, Ohio/Northland HS) for a violation of team standards. Burke will miss the game against Northern Michigan on Thursday, Nov. 1, at Crisler Center.
"We have high standards and values for our student-athletes and we expect everyone to meet those expectations," said Beilein. "Trey will sit out the first game as a result of some 'out of character' decisions he now regrets. We believe he has learned a valuable lesson and we are confident he will grow from this experience."
