Tiges Outright The Contract Of Don Kelly To Triple A Toledo
DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers today announced the club has outrighted the contract of infielder/outfielder Don Kelly to Triple A Toledo.
Kelly saw action in 75 games with the Tigers during the 2012 season, batting .186 (21x113) with two doubles, a triple, home run and seven RBI. He hit .233 (17x73) with two doubles, a home run and 12 RBI in 20 games during the season with Toledo.
In four seasons with the Tigers (2009-12), Kelly hit .235 (156x664) with 17 doubles, five triples, 17 home runs and 65 RBI in 338 games.
Kelly will elect his free agency and be eligible to sign with any of the 30 major league organizations.
