Detroit Pistons Announce November And December Halftime Entertainment

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – The Detroit Pistons announced today halftime entertainment acts currently scheduled for games through December. Seven-time Grammy award winner Gladys Knight will perform on November 12, the first Motown Mondays theme night, when the Pistons take on defending NBA scoring champ Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

"We are excited to present our fans with an exciting list of entertainment line-ups for our upcoming games in November and December," said Harlan Hendrickson, Vice President of Marketing for Palace Sports & Entertainment and the Pistons. "We look forward to providing a unique experience that will continue to thrill our fans and enhance the overall Pistons Basketball experience."

Grammy-Award winner Bobby Brown, whose hit singles "My Prerogative" and "Every Little Step" topped various Billboard charts in the 1980s, will take the stage on November 16 vs. Orlando and British sensation Jay Sean, best known for his 2009 hit "Down" featuring Lil Wayne, returns to The Palace on November 18 vs. Boston.

Motown Mondays continues when Mary Wilson, an original with The Supremes, makes her appearance on November 26 vs. Portland while Digital Underground, the hip hop group which gained popularity with "The Humpty Dance" in 1990, close out the month when the Pistons take on the Phoenix Suns on November 28.

New York Rapper Fat Joe, whose single "Lean Back" was a #1 hit in 2004, will entertain fans when Detroit face Central-Division rival Chicago Bulls for the first time this season on December 7. Grammy-Award winners, Naughty by Nature, best known for their 1990 hit "O.P.P.", will bring their act when the Denver Nuggets come to town on December 11. MC Hammer makes a return appearance to The Palace on December 28 vs. Miami and versatile musician Sheila E wraps up the month vs. Milwaukee on the 30th.
