Elmore Leonard Talks, Answers Questions In Warren Tonight

WARREN (CBS Detroit) Famous author Elmore Leonard is chatting up book lovers Thursday night in Warren -- and there were still spots available Wednesday.

About 100 spots are available for people to listen to Leonard and his son author Peter Leonard in the conference room at the Civic Center Library in Warren. The event happens at 6 p.m.

Leonard, author of "Get Shorty," "Killshot,"and "LaBrava," among many others, will also answer questions and sign books. His works have been turned into the movies "3:10 to Yuma," "Out of Sight," "Jackie Brown" and the TV series "Justified."

A Michigan native, Leonard will receive the National Book Foundation's Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters and a 'Write My Essay' award later this month.

The graduate of the  University of Detroit Jesuit is credited by the New York Times for being the "the greatest living crime writer."
