UofM's Men's Hoops To Unveil Big Ten Championship Banner

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's basketball team announced that it will unveil its 2012 regular-season Big Ten Championship banner prior to the Big Ten/ACC Challenge game against N.C. State on Nov. 27 at Crisler Center.

Michigan finished the 2011-12 campaign 24-10 overall, including a 13-5 Big Ten record to claim a share of its first Big Ten regular-season title since 1986 and post the most conference wins since the 1993-94 season. The Wolverines earned their highest Big Ten Tournament seeding of all-time (No. 2) and advanced to the semifinals of the conference event for the second straight year.

The Wolverines made their third NCAA Tournament appearance in the last four seasons, receiving a No. 4 seed in the Midwest Region. Michigan's 24 wins last season are the most in head coach John Beilein's five years at the helm of the program.
