He may be 37 years old, but free agent outfielder Torii Hunter would fit the Tigers perfectly. Here are three reasons why:

1. Hunter was once the best center fielder in the game. He hasn’t slowed down that much and has moved to right field. His range is exceptional for a corner outfielder. With Austin Jackson in center, Hunter in right and Andy Dirks probably in left, outfield defense would go from being a weakness to a strength for the Tigers.

2. Hunter is a right-handed hitter with power. The Tigers struggles against left-handed pitching have been well-documented.

3. Hunter is the consummate pro and an excellent leader.
