DETROIT (WWJ) - Former Chicago Bears Coach Mike Ditka has been hospitalized after suffering a minor stroke reports the Chicago Tribune.

“Coach Ditka is going to be fine. He did suffer a minor stroke tonight. Won’t be on the shows this wknd. He wanted everyone to know he’s ok,” tweeted Senior Producer ESPN-NFL Seth Markman.

The former coach and Hall of Fame player was reportedly playing cards at a suburban country club when he noticed his hands “weren’t working quite right,” and then had a problem speaking, reported the Tribune.
