FBI Investigates Bank Robbery In East China Township

EAST CHINA TOWNSHIP (AP) – Police and the FBI are investigating a bank robbery in East China Township Saturday morning. The bank is on South River Road.

According to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, a white male wearing a stocking cap, dark sunglasses and a two toned coat approached a teller shortly before noon. The man handed the teller a note demanding money. Once the money was turned over, the man fled on foot. He was last seen running southbound along South River Road.

The suspect is described as approximately 6-feet tall, thin build and about 50 years old.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office at 810-987-1733.
