Recycle Old Electronics Saturday In Flat Rock

FLAT ROCK (WWJ) – Do you have old electronics taking up space at home?

Wayne County’s Land Resource Management Division is hosting a one day recycling event, Saturday, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Flat Rock Community Fields in Flat Rock.

All electronic equipment received will be fully processed and recycled with a zero-tolerance for landfill policy adopted by Vintage Tech Recycling, an Illinois-based company.

The following items/equipment will be accepted:

  • Computers
  • Keyboards
  • Mice
  • Monitors
  • Printers and cartridges
  • Laptops
  • Scanners
  • Modems
  • Cell phones
  • TV’s
  • VCR’s
  • DVD players
  • Cameras
  • Camcorders
  • Game players
  • Joysticks
  • Pagers
  • Answering machines
  • Typewriters
  • Calculators
  • Fax machines
  • Copiers

Vintage Tech guarantees that all hard drives will be wiped and destroyed using compliant data wiping methods.
