Lions' Titus Young Sent Home, Will Be Inactive Thanksgiving

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) Titus Young drew some scathing comments Monday from Coach Jim Schwartz, who said he will be inactive during the Thanksgiving game against Texas.

Schwartz said Young was in the the wrong spot on the second down play in the red zone when Gosder Cherilus had a false start.

What happened next? "Behavior on Sunday was unacceptable, Titus Young was sent home from the facility,"  Schwartz said.

Describing his behavior as a "distraction," Schwartz said Young put "himself before the team."

"It's your job to make the team happy, it's not the team's job to make you  happy," Schwartz said, per the Lions Twitter feed.

Schwartz said the issue is "behavioral," and it's up to Young what  happens next.

"He needs to be a team player, and he needs to put the team before himself," Schwartz said.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford weighed in, saying, "Coach felt it necessary and I support our head coach."
