Man Shot, Killed For His Designer Eyeglasses

DETROIT (WWJ) – Detroit police are investigating an overnight shooting death at a west side gas station.

Reports say it happened around 10:30 Sunday night at a Citgo station on Grand River east of the Southfield Freeway. The victim is a man in his mid-20s. He reportedly was robbed of his designer eyeglasses while walking out of the station. The victim’s identity has not been released.

There are no suspects in custody at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detroit Police.
