Detroit Lions' Ndamukong Suh Cited In Driving Incident

DETROIT (WWJ) - More trouble for embattled Detroit Lions star Ndamukong Suh.

Reports say Suh was stopped earlier this month by Lathrup Village police along Southfield Road.

No accident resulted from what happened, but Suh was allegedly driving at a high rate of speed and passing cars on the right. He also allegedly cut of a vehicle as the lane he was driving in was ending.

Suh was ticketed for failure to use care and caution while driving.

Lathrup Village Police Chief William Armstrong said he doesn't think the ticket was written correctly, and that it was from an officer known for aggressive ticket writing.

"Quite frankly, the way that the ticket was written I don't necessarily agree with, but if the city attorney agrees, it would go forward as it's written," Armstrong told WJBK.

Armstrong said the charges should be reviewed on Tuesday.

Suh, who's no stranger to controversy and is referred to by some as the dirtiest player in the NFL, was most recently in the news for a suspicious "kick" to the groin of Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub during last week's Thanksgiving Day game.

The NFL announced Monday that Suh would not face a suspension for the kick, which some thought was intentional, but he could be fined. Read more, here.
